VIII. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Description:
Public participation is a time for community members and District employees to express a point of view, not to debate an issue. There will be a sign-up sheet for the public to identify their name, address, phone number, name of the organization represented (if any), and a brief description of the topic to be addressed. The public may submit comments electronically to the Board of Education via email: publiccomments@cusd50.org. A member of the District 50 administrative staff will follow up with you within 48 hours of this meeting to determine if you would like to discuss the issue further. Comments are limited to 3 minutes for an overall maximum of one hour and/or a 20 minute-minimum total length for any one subject (See Board Policy 2:230).

XIII. FOIA REQUESTS
Description:
On September 28, 2021, FOIA Officer McKenzie Laurent received from Vince Espi, of LocalLabs, a request for all data of any faculty or student with COVID-19 positive test results, COVID-19 like symptoms or close contacts to a confirmed COVID-19 case that were reported to the local health department over the previous seven days; as well as all details provided to the local health department. On October 4, Laurent fulfilled the request.
On September 29, 2021, FOIA Officer McKenzie Laurent received from Vince Espi, of LocalLabs, a request for a list of all district materials that fall under the 1619 project, as well as a list of all books written by authors Ibram X. Kendi (aka Henry Rogers), or Robin DiAngelo. On October 7, Laurent fulfilled the request. On September 30, 2021, FOIA Officer McKenzie Laurent received from Abby Callard, of Dashboard McHenry County, a request for records reflecting the overall absenteeism rate for the district and for each school, broken down by the demographics reported on the Illinois Report Card website, for the 2020-2021 school year. On October 4, Laurent fulfilled the request. On September 30, 2021, FOIA Officer McKenzie Laurent received from Janie Jordan, of Data Research Partners LLC, a request for a list of all Harvard CUSD 50 employees including first and last names, email address, title/position, and primary campus/department location. On October 5, Laurent fulfilled the request. |
