Mae Hawkins, Director of Finance, will present a Resolution that will authorize entry into a Joint Powers with other districts and allow District participation Minnesota Trust for investment purposes. The Board will be asked to approve the Resolution.

6.2. The Minnesota State Arts Board Grant
Description:
The Minnesota State Arts Board has awarded a grant to Intermediate District 287 in the amount of $22,939 for the 2013-14 school year. The arts learning award will be used is to support Perrin Boyd, Artist in Residence, to facilitate a major arts experience for our students at North Education Center. Special education and area learning center students will design and create a permanent mosaic and garden art sculpture.

7. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT - (15 minutes)

7.1. Hiring and Recruitment Update
Description:
The Superintendent and the School Board identified two major goals for the year. Anne Becker, General Counsel/Director of Human Resources will provide a update on the goal to recruit and retain a high performing accountable and innovative workforce for the future through improved hiring and recruitment efforts.

Description:
Anne Becker, General Counsel/Director of Human Resources, and Dr. Jane Holmberg, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, will present the organizational plan to implement Minnesota’s new principal and teacher evaluation requirements.
