Rick Sansted will share with the board the "206 Points of Pride." The persons being recognized this month are as follows: The Girls Golf Team took 5th place at the State Tournament. Individual results included:
In Boys Golf, Blake Scholl placed 16th, Weston Nyberg placed 45th and Brady Gundberg placed 60th at the State Tournament. Brody Adelman was selected to be on the 2026 North All Star Team in the MSHSBCA Twins Community Fund All Star Series. |

IV.C. APPROVE PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS

Personnel recommendations are made monthly. The conditional offers of employment are subject to successful completion of a criminal background check and I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, and where applicable, the issuance of the required license. IV.D. ADOPT RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT DONATIONS AND GRANTS

IV.H. ADOPT DISTRICT POLICIES - IMMEDIATE ADOPTION

Pursuant to Policy 208, Article IV.D., a policy that is modified because of a legal change over which the school board has no control may be approved at one meeting at the discretion of the school board. The following policies contain legal revisions reflective of laws enacted in the 2024 Minnesota Legislative Session:
RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board adopt Policies 208, 402, 423, 507.5, 509, 613, 621, 709 and 722. |

The following pages provide a summary of changes to the 2026-2027 Student Handbooks for the Early Education Center, six elementary schools, Discovery Middle School and Alexandria Area High School. The Curriculum/Policy Committee has reviewed the handbooks and approves the revisions. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board adopt the 2026-2027 Student Handbooks as presented. |

VI.A. APPROVE LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE REVENUE

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Minnesota school districts applying for Long-Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) revenue must submit an annual application to the Minnesota Department of Education. Completed applications include submitting a statement of assurances, as well as the LTFM revenue projection and estimated expenditures for a 10-year period. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board approve the LTFM revenue application as presented. |

VI.B. APPROVE BUILDING PROCESS FOR SOFTBALL COMPLEX

The school district, in partnership with community partners, is working towards adding a concession stand and restrooms at the AAHS Softball Complex. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board approve the recommendation to move forward with the research, design and implementation of a concession stand and restrooms at the AAHS Softball Complex. |

VI.C. SCHEDULE SPECIAL MEETING TO CANVASS ELECTION RESULTS

The school board is required to canvass election results on the third (3rd) day after the election. The administration recommends that the board schedule a special meeting on Friday, August 14 at 7:30 a.m. in the District Office Conference Room. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board approve the recommendation to hold the special board meeting to canvass election results as stated above. |

VI.D. ADOPT RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS AND CALLING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT GENERAL ELECTION

The following pages provide the resolution and notice related to the November 3, 2026 school board general election. The resolution establishes the opportunity to utilize a general election to elect school board members based upon the number affidavits of candidacy filed and directs the district to publish and post the required notices. These documents are required by law. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends that the board adopt the Resolution and Notice as presented. |
