Description:  The retirement reception for Dr. Seese will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday evening, August 27th, in the Arrowwood Conference Center.  Many hors'duevres and lemonade/tea/coffee will be available.

Description:  You are invited to attend the Welcome Back Breakfast for all staff at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29th in the White Pine cafeteria. 

Description:  A Joint Board Workshop with our Board of Education and the Saginaw Charter Township Board is being planned from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2012, in the Arrowwood Conference Center.  This will be a collaborative partnership effort.  We will have a supper of lasagna, salad, bread and dessert available at 4:30 p.m. for all board members.  More to come in the future.

Description:  White Pine math teacher Kevin Champagne has respectfully requested a leave of absence for the 2012-13 school year to work as a math coach in an under-performing district through the Institute for Excellence and to work on his doctorate.  He understands the administration will recommend that the leave be denied.

He was apologetic that the request comes so near the beginning of the school year but the opportunity was not confirmed until late last week.  It appears that he will go with the Institute whether a leave is granted or not.  (There was no hint of a threat--he is just asking in hopes to protect his rights to return to a position at STCS.)

Description:  Doug Trombley will be using his cell phone number which is 239-9844 and his email is datrombl@stcs.org    At this time, Dr. Seese will continue to use 860-1917 and his home email address will be  rebound40@gmail.com .

Description:  The MASB Fall Conference will be at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center on November 8-11, 2012.  

The NSBA Annual Conference will be in San Diego from April 13-15, 2013.  Registration opens on October 17th so please let Karen know if you wish to attend either conference.
