The Board Treasurer and Director of Finance and Operations meet once a month to review the previous month’s financial activity. XII.A. Gifts and Donations

Therefore the Director of Finance and Operations recommends the following resolution:
Minnesota Statues 12B.02, Subd. 6 provides: "The board may receive, for the benefit of the district, bequests, donations, or gifts for any proper purpose and apply the same to the purpose designated. In that behalf, the board may act as trustee of any trust created for the benefit of the district, or for the benefit of pupils thereof, including trusts created to provide pupils of the district with advanced education after completion of high school, in the advancement of education."; and
School Board Policy 706 establishes guidelines for the acceptance of gifts/donations to the District; and Minnesota Statute 465.03 provides: "Any city, county, school district or town may accept a grant or devise of real or personal property and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor. Nothing herein shall authorize such acceptance or use for religious or sectarian purposes. Every such acceptance shall be by resolution of the governing body adopted by a two-thirds majority of its members, expressing such terms in full."; and Every such acceptance shall be by resolution of the governing body adopted by a two-thirds majority of its members, expressing such terms in full; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the School Board of Cambridge-Isanti Schools, ISD 911 accept with appreciation the following gifts/donations and permit their use as designated by the donor(s).

XII.B. American Indian Parent Advisory Committee Resolution

Description:
WHEREAS, the school board or district has an AIPAC composed of parents/guardians of American Indian children who are eligible for Indian education programs, American Indian language and culture teachers and paraprofessionals, American Indian teachers, American Indian counselors, American Indian adults enrolled in educational programming, and American Indian representatives from the community;
WHEREAS, the school board or district affords the AIPAC the necessary information and the opportunity to effectively express their views concerning all aspects of American Indian education and the educational needs of the American Indian children enrolled in the school(s) and program(s); and, WHEREAS, the AIPAC is directly involved with and advises the school board and district staff on Indian Education program planning; and, WHEREAS, the AIPAC develops and submits recommendations to the school board and district staff pertaining to the needs of American Indian students. WHEREAS, as per M.S. 124D.78, subd.2., in a letter to the school board dated February 17th, 2026, the Native American Parent Committee issued a resolution of non-concurrence with educational programming for American Indian children as well as the following recommendations; WHEREAS, as per M.S. 124D.78, subd.2., the school board must respond in writing within 60 days, in cases of non-concurrence, to each recommendation made by the parent committee and state its reasons for implementing or not implementing the recommendations.

To accept the resolution of nonconcurrence and respond in writing to the recommendations put forth by the American Indian Parent Advisory Committee Resolution within the next 60 days. This motion, made by Board Member #1 and seconded by Board Member #2, Passed.

Cabinet and the Administrative Team also had the opportunity to review the proposed policy changes and provide comments. Upon consideration, the Policy Review Committee is recommending the Board approve these policies with modifications made in the attached policies.
