Description:  Attached is the latest Policy Advisory.  This advisory, includes recommended document revisions based on Arizona laws modified by the Fifty-third Legislature, First Regular Session, 2017.  The policy documents should be considered by the Governing Board for adoption as a policy or by the Superintendent for implementation as a regulation or exhibit.

5.B. First Reading-ASBA Policy Advisory 601-Non Action Item
Description:  The recent passage of SB 1314 added section 15-1046 to the Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to the Student Accountability Information System. Language was added to IJNDB-E in PA 594 as a result.  In response to inquiries regarding PA 594, that language in the exhibit is removed and statutory language is added to Policy IJNDB.The policy documents should be considered by the Governing Board for adoption as a policy or by the Superintendent/District Administrator for implementation as a regulation or exhibit.

5.D. Approval for SCUBA training, by Jim Housholder, for our Marine Tech students and instructor in Page, for $250 a student and and additional $700 to Park Service for the students' required open dive in Lake Powell-Possible Action Item
Description:  We have 7 students plus Wally, 8 x $250=$2000.00.  That includes everything, equipment, books, fees.  With the $700 for the open dive, the total cost is $2700.
