5.B.1. Tax Attorney Presentation: Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, L.L.P. currently represents the District in collecting delinquent property taxes. Elizabeth Calvo and Elena Fernandez will present information regarding the collection of delinquent property taxes.

6.B.1. Discussion regarding cash defeasance options for Castleberry ISD's outstanding bonds.

6.B.2. Child Nutrition Meal Charge Policy: Per SB#1566; Sec.12, Sec.33.908 Child Nutrition is requesting to provide a five-day "grace period" to the CISD Charge Policy. In which the students are served a reimbursable meal, even if they do not have funds in their accounts to pay for the meal in hand. This policy change would begin with the 2022-2023 school year. Parents will be notified of outstanding balances.

10.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from June 6, 2022, for a Regular Board Meeting and June 20, 2022, for a Special Board Meeting.

10.B. Consider Approval of Contracting with Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, LLP for representation in Property Value Study Appeals and Audits.

10.C. Consider Approval of the Agreement for Collection of Taxes for Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector: CISD has maintained a good working relationship with Tarrant County for the collection of taxes. The cost per account will be $0.98. This is the lowest collection fee of any urban county in Texas.

10.D. Consider Approval of Budget Amendment: Displays any necessary budget amendments that should be made due to spending patterns. By law, the District may not exceed the budget amounts within "Function" code without prior approval of the Board. Fund 199 Function 81 would be increased by $2,023,938 and Assigned Fund Balance would be decreased by $2,023,938 to fund the anticipated expenses for Camp Carter, Baseball, Softball and Turf project for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Revenue increased by $51,000 for Sid Richardson grant. Function 11 increased by $51,000 for Sid Richardson grant.

Consider Approval of the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) Proposed Budget 2023: The estimated allocations in the TAD proposed budget are based on the most recent June value estimates and the 2021 tax rates. The official allocations for 2023 will be based on the certified values from 2022 and the 2022 adopted tax rates for each taxing unit as those are finalized. The TAD Proposed Budget is attached for your review and information.
