4.A.1. Secondary Campus Improvement Plans: Each campus has completed the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) formative assessment update to document progress. For the mid-year update, principals have created a Piktochart to summarize their progress on goals and strategies shared with the Board of Education on November 4, 2019.

5.A.1. Instructional Materials Proclamation 2020: An update from the CISD Instructional Materials Oversight Committee regarding courses for which materials are being adopted and the timeline for consideration for the 2020-2021 school year.

5.B. Consider All Matters Incident and/or related to Public Officers and Employees, including but not limited to, Contracts Resignations, Hiring, Assignments, Allocations, and Salaries.

5.B.1. Continuation review of Board Policy Audit Review of Local Policies: Presented for discussion are the revised DBAA(LOCAL), EIA(LOCAL), EIC(LOCAL), EMB(LOCAL), and EMI(LOCAL) policies. Action Item on March 9, 2020.

5.B.2. Policy Update 114: Presented for discussion is the TASB Board Policy Update 114 which includes twenty proposed local board updates. Action Item on March 9, 2020

5.C. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Auxiliary Services, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

5.C.1. Purchasing (Replacement) of the Irma Marsh Middle School Gymnasium Floor:  Replacement of Irma Marsh Middle School gymnasium floor from Ponder Floor Company (BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative: #560-18) in the amount of $149,292.00.

5.C.2. Purchasing (Replacement) of the Irma Marsh Middle School Gymnasium Bleacher Systems: Replacement of Irma Marsh Middle School gymnasium bleacher systems from Lone Star Furniture (BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative: #2019-016) in the amount of $133,258.00.

5.C.3. Purchasing Technology Equipment in the amount of $62,452.00 for Phase 3 of the Irma Marsh Renovation Project. The Technology Operations Department is recommending the purchase of technology equipment including, BenQ interactive flat panels, wireless access points, phones, and A/V extenders for an estimated price of $62,452.00.

5.C.4. Additional furniture purchase from Lone Star Furnishings not to exceed $107,987.75 for the Irma Marsh Middle School Renovation Project.

8.E. Recognition of Guests: Abigail Crawford, Fine Arts Coordinator, is recognizing Jerin R., Senior; for being selected as a member of the Texas All-State Choir, and Brandon A., Junior, for each earning a chair in the 2020 ATSSB All-State Band.

9. CONSENT AGENDA

9.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from January 13, 2020, for a Regular Meeting and January 20, 2020, for a Special Board Meeting.

9.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of January 2020: The attached schedule lists all checks written for the month of January 2020.

9.C. Consider Approval of TASB, TASBO, TASA, University of North Texas, Government Treasurer Organization of Texas, Region XI Educational Service Center and Texas State University for Independent Sources of Instruction relating to Investment Responsibilities: Investment Officers are required to receive 10 hours of Investment Officer training every 2 years.

9.D. Consider Approval of the Resolution of Annual Review of the Investment Policy of Castleberry Independent School District.

9.E. Consider Approval of the Broker Dealer List: In accordance with the 1997 Public Funds Investment Act, Texas Government Code 2256.025, the Board of Education must review, revise, and adopt a list of qualified brokers and dealers on an annual basis.

10.A.1. Consider Approval of New Hire Contract Recommendation:  There are no contract recommendations for this meeting as of February 3, 2020.

10.A.2. Consider Approval of Renewals, Proposed Nonrenewals, No Actions and Terminations: The Superintendent of Schools will present recommendations to the Board of Education for Cabinet renewals proposed nonrenewals, and no actions of professional employee contracts.

10.B. Consider All Matters related to Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

10.B.1. Consider Approval of Proposed 2020-2021 School Calendar:  This calendar meets parameters set by the board, was developed and approved by the DEIC and received the majority vote by Castleberry I.S.D. employees.

11.A.1. Financial Services Executive Director Report:

11.A.1.a. Annual Investment Report: All investments are authorized under the terms of Board Policy and quarterly investment reports have been provided to the Board.

11.A.1.b. Investment Report for the quarter ending December 31, 2019: This report shows District investment by fund for the quarter ending December 31, 2019.

11.A.1.c. Board Budget Report as of December 31, 2019: This report shows Revenue and Expenditures by Fund and Function. 

11.A.1.d. Tarrant County Tax Collection Reports for December 31, 2019 reflects the amount of current and delinquent taxes, penalties and interest collected for the month and year to date. 

11.A.2. The Castleberry ISD Special Education Department received donations of gift certificates and items totaling $325.00 in December and $110.00 in January from various community businesses. Appreciation letters from Lynn Jameson are attached.

11.A.3. The Castleberry ISD Teaching Learning and Innovation (TLI) Department received donations of gift cards/coupons and items totaling $13,610.33 in January from various community businesses or individuals. These donations were used at the Digital Learning Day 2020 Conference on January 6, 2020. Appreciation letters will be mailed to the various businesses and individuals expressing the department’s appreciation. A list of donations is attached for your information.

11.B.1. Department of Athletics – Fall Program Evaluation: Includes a report on each of the Fall sports for the 2019-2020 school year.

11.B.2. New Extracurricular Organizations: CISD campus principals report no new extracurricular organizations for the 2020-21 school year.

11.B.3. Energy Performance Updates from Ideal Impact, Inc.:  The report includes energy updates from Ideal Impact, Inc. which includes information gathered from campus walkthroughs (system & thermostat programming, weatherization, etc.) and data collection.

11.B.4. Capital Improvements Projects Update (2019-20): The Projects Report reflects work scheduled to be completed and funds expended through the 2019-20 school year.
