4.A.1. Campus Improvement Plans (Elementary and Secondary): Each campus has completed the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) formative assessment update to document progress. Principals have created an infographic to summarize their progress. Each infographic will highlight a variety of strategies each campus has worked on during the 2018-2019 school year in reaching goals set with their leadership teams. 

4.B. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals. 

4.B.1. 2019 District Appraisal Roll: 2019 Certified Appraisal Roll Valuation Summary is attached and the values have been certified by the Chief Appraiser.  A complete list of all property is available for review online in the Finance Office.

7.B. School Officials Present

7.C. Recognition of Guests: Lynn Jameson, Executive Director of Special Services, is recognizing the CHS Special Olympics athletes. Students from the Special Services Department will present cup-stacking. This is a Special Olympics Unified Sports activity that promotes social inclusiveness, focus concentration, and enhances math and reading skills. The students presented this last year at Castleberry ISD's Digital Learning Day, Castleberry Cares, and CHS Pep Rallies.

9.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from July 22, 2019, for a Regular Meeting.

9.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of July 2019:  The attached schedule lists all checks written for the month of July 2019. 

9.C. Consider Approval of Policy Update 113: Presented for Board approval is the TASB Board Policy Update 113 which includes seven proposed local board updates.

9.D. Consider Approval of T-TESS:  This item includes all administrators who have completed the Teacher Evaluation and Support System training.

9.E. Consider Approval of Teacher Appraisal Calendar: This item details dates for teacher appraisals. Limitations on dates for appraisals are affected by such things as school holidays and state assessment days.  

10. ACTION ITEMS

10.A. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals. 

10.A.1. Consider Adoption of the 2019 Tax Rate: Attached is the “Resolution Adopting Ordinance 29 of Castleberry ISD” for adopting the tax rate of $1.06835 for M&O and $0.2222 for Debt Service for a total Tax Rate of $1.29055. This Ordinance accepts and approves the tax rolls and levies the Ad Valorem Taxes for Castleberry ISD.

10.A.2. Consider Approval of Grading Guidelines: Review CISD Grading Guidelines for the 2019-2020 school year. Guidelines were adjusted based on input from teacher teams and campus principals.  

10.B. Consideration and possible action concerning construction of the Irma Marsh Middle School project.

11.A. Consider All Matters Incident and/or related to Public Officers and Employees, including but not limited to, Contracts Resignations, Hiring, Assignments, Allocations, and Salaries.

11.A.1. Superintendent Approved New Professional Hires:  There are thirteen superintendent approved new hires for this meeting as of August 2, 2019.

11.A.2. Review Resignations Received

11.B. Consider All Matters related to Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

11.B.1. Elementary Science Annual Report: The annual report will highlight the elementary science instructional program and initiatives for the upcoming school year. 

11.B.2. Bilingual/ESL Report: The annual report will highlight the bilingual and English as a Second Language program and initiatives for the upcoming school year. 

11.B.3. Secondary Science Annual Report: The annual report will highlight the secondary science instructional program and initiatives for the upcoming school year. 

11.B.4. Social Studies Annual Report: The annual report highlights social studies curriculum, professional development and program initiatives for the coming school year. 

11.B.5. Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and Dual Enrollment Report: This report will provide an update and status of advanced academic courses offered by Castleberry High School along with Dual Credit partnerships and On-Ramps Dual Enrollment with the University of Texas in Austin.

11.C.1. Financial Services Executive Director Report:

11.C.1.a. Follow Up Financial Services Evaluation: This report includes information on the Central Supply Warehouse Procedures, Professional Learning for District Secretaries, and Campus/Student Activity Funds. 

11.C.1.b. Investment Report for the month of June 2019: This report shows District investment by fund for the month ending June 30, 2019. 

11.C.1.c. Board Budget Report as of June 30, 2019: This report shows Revenue and Expenditures by Fund and Function. 

11.C.1.d. Tarrant County Tax Collection Reports for the month of June 2019 reflects the amount of taxes, penalty, interest and delinquent taxes collected for the month and year to date and the percent of the total levy collected. 

11.C.2. Castleberry ISD received a donation check in the amount of $500.00 from River Oaks Baptist Church for backpacks to be issued to select students in memory of Joann Burns. 

11.D. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Auxiliary Services, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
