4.B.1. External School Safety & Security Audit Presentation: This comprehensive external safety audit report prepared by Empowered Actions (Recommended by the Texas School Safety Center) will cover CISD safety & security highlights, recommendations, and overall findings of the audit.

4.C.1. 2019-2020 Employee Compensation Plan: The 2019-2020 Compensation Plan includes a proposed increase for each pay grade and teacher hiring schedule. A list of pay grades, the teacher hiring schedule and schedules for stipend and supplemental pay are attached for review.

4.C.2. Budget Workshop Session 4: Conducted for preliminary budget development. This is the last of four budget work sessions.

7.C. Recognition of Guests: Renee Smith-Faulkner, Associate Superintendent; and Javier DeLeon, Bilingual/ESL Academic Coach; is recognizing Castleberry ISD 5th Grade students for completing Spanish 1 and receiving high school credit. Mrs. Smith-Faulkner will also recognize Matthew Jones, Web Administrator; Dr. June Ritchlin, Executive Director of Elementary Education; and Jackson Small, MoBus Volunteer, for their outstanding service.

9.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from May 6, 2019, for a Regular Meeting.
|
|
9.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of May 2019: The attached schedule lists all checks written for the month of May 2019.
|
|
9.C. Consider Approval of TASB Risk Management Fund as the 2019-2020 District’s Property and Casualty Insurance Carrier for a Total Premium of $ 194,095.00.
|
|
9.D. Consider Approval of Extension for one additional twelve month period for the purchase of Office Supplies and Furniture from Staples as the primary vendor of office supplies, Martin’s Office Supply as secondary vendor and all other vendors as supplemental vendors. School supplies that are specialized for the classroom will be purchased through cooperative vendors.

9.E. Consider Approval of Academic/Educational Consultants: Financial Services advertised RFP# 18-014 for academic/educational consultants. A list of recommended consultants is attached for your review.

9.F. Consider Approval of Special Education Consultants: Financial Services advertised RFP# 18-013 for special education consultants. A list of recommended consultants is attached for your review.

9.G. Consider Approval of School Meal Prices: As required by the USDA/TDA and calculated with the USDA Paid Lunch Equity Tool paid lunch prices will increase by $.10 over last year’s cost. The lunch cost will be $2.40 for elementary and $2.70 for secondary schools and breakfast prices will remain free for both elementary and secondary schools.

9.H. Consider Approval of trading in various IMMS band instruments and accessories toward a $1,000.00 credit from Band Wagon to purchase 2 instrument cases. The old band instruments have been evaluated and been determined to be beyond viable repair.
|

9.I. Consider Approval of JJAEP Memorandum of Understanding: A Memorandum of Understanding with Tarrant County Juvenile Services is attached to provide services for students who are expelled from Castleberry ISD for the 2019-2020 academic year.
|
|
9.J. Consider Approval of Extension of Depository Contract with Bank of Texas: We have a good working relationship with Bank of Texas and Administration recommends extending our Depository Contract for an additional 2 years as allowed by the Texas Education Code, Chapter 45, and Subchapter G.
|
|
9.K. Consider Approval of Contracting with Superior Pediatric Care for Physical and Occupational Therapy for the Special Education Department in the 2019-2020 school year.
|

10. ACTION ITEMS

10.A. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
|

10.A.1. Consider Approval of the 2019-2020 Employee Compensation Plan that includes an increase for all pay grades including the teacher hiring schedule. The stipend/supplemental pay schedules will remain the same as last year.
|
|
10.A.2. Consider Approval of the Budget Amendment: This amendment displays any necessary budget amendments that should be made due to spending patterns. By law, the District may not exceed the budget amount within “Function” code without prior approval of the Board.

10.B.1. Consider Approval of the Capital Improvements Projects (2019-20): The report reflects work scheduled to be completed and funds expended through the 2019-20 school year. This includes programming, renovations, and construction projects.

10.B.2. Consider Approval of the Replacement Plan (2019-20): Includes items that will be purchased through the Replacement Plan for the 2019-2020 school year.

10.C.1. Consider Approval of New Hire Contract Recommendations: There are twenty-two contract recommendations for this meeting as of June 4, 2019.

10.C.2. Consider Approval of Renewals of Teacher Contracts: The Superintendent of Schools will present recommendations to the Board of Education for Teacher proposed renewals of teacher contracts.

11.A.1. TRS Active Care Rates for 2019-2020 are presented. The TRS Active Care rates for 2019-2020 increased for all plans. A premium comparison table of 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 is included for your review.

|
11.A.2. Delinquent Tax Collection Report: The report includes information on the delinquent property tax collections for May 2019. This report has been prepared by CISD’s tax attorney’s Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott.
|
|
11.A.3. Child Nutrition Report: Includes information for ongoing programs implemented at various campuses including Lunch with the Chef and partnering with the CHS Culinary Arts Program for the Lone Star Chef Competition. Employee training and community outreach continues to be a goal for the Child Nutrition Department.
|
|
11.A.4. The Castleberry Athletic Department received a donation check in the amount of $160.00 from the Castleberry Athletic Booster Club to help with breakfast cost for IMMS sports.
|
|
11.A.5. The Castleberry ISD Police Department received a donation of a ballistic shield from the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association. An appreciation letter from Chief Provencio and a picture of the CISD officers with the shield are attached.

11.N. On June 18, 2015, the Board of Education approved policy DC (LOCAL) delegating the Superintendent final hiring authority for Chapter 21 employees from the months of June 16 to August 31 annually. This policy will be practiced by administration through the summer hiring months.
