8.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from April 8, 2019 for a Regular Board Meeting.
|
|
8.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of April 2019: The attached schedule lists all checks written for the month of April 2019.
|
|
8.C. Consider Approval of a Three-Year Agreement for the Collection of Taxes for Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector: CISD has maintained a good working relationship with Tarrant County for the collection of taxes. Tarrant County is offering a three-year contract instead of an annual renewal. The commission rate for Tax Years 2019-2021 will remain at $.98 per account for the entire contract term. This rate continues to be the lowest collection fee rate of any urban county in Texas.

8.D. Consider Approval of Skyward Annual License Fee for 2019-2020 in the amount of $60,030. The Skyward license fee covers the software used by the District for Student Records, Family Access, PEIMS, Finance and Human Resources and other programs.
|

8.E. Consider Approval of the Master Inter-Local Agreement with Region 11 Educational Service Center: The Master Inter-Local Agreement allows districts to participate in purchasing services through ESC Region 11 bidding processes.
|
|
8.F. Consider Approval of ESC XI Support Services Contracts for 2019-2020. These contracts include Comprehensive Services, Instructional Services, Library Services, PEIMS and Technology Services.
|
|
8.G. Consider Approval of ESC XI Fiber 11 2019-2023 Annual Service Agreement. The Fiber Infrastructure of Broadband Enhancement in Region 11 (FIBER11) agreement is an enhanced K-12 region-wide broadband infrastructure created to promote educational excellence in instruction, services and resources through a collaborative partnership of School Districts.

8.H. Consider Approval of Canine Team Contract with Interquest Detection Canines for 2019-2020: The district will continue to use Interquest Detection Canines for contraband detection. The contract covers nineteen half day visits to the district. The cost last year was $270.00 per visit. The cost for the 2019-20 school year is $270.00 per visit.

10.A.1. STAAR 5th and 8th Assessment: STAAR 5th and 8th grade math and reading information will be presented from the state assessment taken by students April 9th, and April 10th, 2019.

10.B.1. Budget Workshop Session 3: Conducted for preliminary budget development. This is the third of four budget work sessions scheduled.

12.B.1. Consider Approval of the Budget Amendment: This amendment displays any necessary budget amendments that should be made due to spending patterns. By law, the District may not exceed the budget amount within “Function” code without prior approval of the Board. The proposed budget amendments in Fund 199 and 240 are balanced amendments. The budget amendment for Fund 199 is needed to balance functions within the funds for the end of the fiscal year. The budget amendment for Fund 599 is to move the $755,000 dollars from the I & S tax collection out of the $4,102,134 fund balance that was collected during the 18/19 fiscal year.

12.C.1. Consider Approval of New Hire Contract Recommendations: There are seven contract recommendations for this meeting as of May 3, 2019.

12.C.2. Consider Approval of Professional Contract Renewal: The Superintendent of Schools will present a recommendation to the Board of Education for renewal of a professional employee contract.

12.C.3. Consider Approval of Renewals, Proposed Nonrenewals, No Actions and Terminations: The Superintendent of Schools will present recommendations to the Board of Education for Teacher proposed nonrenewals, and no actions of professional employee contracts.

Consider Approval for the Purchase of IMMS Construction Project Technology Equipment: The Technology Operations Department recommends the following equipment to be purchased to outfit the classrooms, offices, library, and common areas in the second phase (Summer 2019) of the Irma Marsh Middle School Construction Project for an estimated price of $191,148.00.

12.E. Consider Approval of RFP# 18-012 for the Irma Marsh Middle School (IMMS) Asbestos Abatement: Financial Services advertised RFP# 18-012 for asbestos abatement services and received 5 responses. Administration would like to recommend Abadon Environment to conduct the asbestos abatement at IMMS.

13.A.1.c. Tarrant County Tax Collection Reports for March 31, 2019: reflects the amount of current and delinquent taxes, penalties and interest collected for the month and year to date.

13.A.2. The Special Education Department received gift card/coupon and merchandise donations from eight local businesses or individuals in February and March. These donations will be used for various trainings and support for the teachers throughout the year. Appreciation letters were mailed to various businesses and individuals expressing the department’s appreciation. A list of donations is attached for
