4.B.1. Campus Improvement Plans (Elementary and Secondary): Each campus has completed the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) formative assessment update to document progress. For the mid-year update, principals have created a Piktochart to summarize their progress on goals and strategies shared with the Board of Education on November 5, 2018. 

4.B.2. CISD Academic Planning Guide: Approval of changes to the Academic Planning Guide for the 2019-2020 academic year which was presented as an information item on December 10, 2018.

Recognition of Guests: CISD School Board Recognition Month for January.  June Ritchlin, Executive Director of Elementary Education, will recognize the School Board Members on behalf of CISD Administration. Mayor Herman Earwood will present a proclamation from the City of River Oaks, and Mayor Jim Barnett, Jr. will present a proclamation from the City of Sansom Park.

9.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from December 10, 2018, for a Special Meeting; December 10, 2018, for a Regular Meeting; and December 17, 2018, for a Special Board Meeting.

9.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of December 2018:  The attached schedule lists all checks written for the month of December 2018.

9.C. Consider Approval of Special Education Consultants:  Financial Services advertised RFP# 18-008 for academic/educational consultants. A list of recommended consultants is attached for your review.

10.A. Consider All Matters Incident and/or related to Public Officers and Employees, including but not limited to, Contracts Resignations, Hiring, Assignments, Allocations, and Salaries.

10.A.1. Consider Approval of New Hire Contract Recommendation:  There are no contract recommendations for this meeting as of January 7, 2019.

10.B. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals. 

10.B.1. Consider Approval of Budget Amendment #2: Displays any necessary budget amendments that should be made due to spending patterns.  By law, the District may not exceed the budget amount within “Function” code without prior approval of the Board.  Fund 199 Function 81 would be increased by $8,000,000 and Assigned Fund Balance would be decreased by $8,000,000 to fund the anticipated expenses for IMMS Building Renovation for the 2018/2019 fiscal year.

10.C. Consider All Matters related to Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

10.C.1. Consider Approval of the CISD Academic Planning Guide: Approval of changes to the Academic Planning Guide for the 2019-2020 academic year which was presented as an information item on December 10, 2018. 

10.D. Consider Approval of All Matters Incident and/or Related to Ordering a General Election for place 5 (Mary Lou Martinez), place 6 (Cathy Gatica), and place 7 (David Holder) for a three year term to be held on May 4, 2019. The Castleberry Independent School District Board of Education is ordering a General Election that will be held jointly with Tarrant County, City of River Oaks, and City of Sansom Park.

11.A. Consider All Matters related to Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

11.A.1. Summer Enrichment Update:  The update will provide an overview of the summer enrichment programs available to students in Castleberry ISD.

11.B. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals. 

11.B.1. The CISD Special Education Department received gift card/coupon and merchandise donations from thirteen local businesses or individuals. These donations were used for various training's and support for the teachers throughout the year. Appreciation letters were mailed to the various businesses and individuals expressing the department’s appreciation. A list of donations is attached for your information.

11.B.2. The CISD Teaching Learning and Innovation (TLI) Department received gift card/coupon and merchandise donations from local businesses or individuals. These donations will be used at the Digital Learning Day 2019 Conference on January 7, 2019. Appreciation letters will be mailed to the various businesses and individuals expressing the department’s appreciation. A list of donations is attached for your information.

11.C. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Auxiliary Services, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

11.C.1. Capital Improvements Projects Update (2018-19): The report includes information on the Capital Improvement Projects which includes updates on programming, renovations, and construction projects through the 2018-19 school year.
