9.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from August 6, 2018 for a Regular Meeting.

9.B. Consider Board Approval of the Parameters of the District Calendar: Parameters for the 2018-2019 district calendar are presented.

9.C. Consider Approval of the Expenditure Report for the Month of August 2018. The report lists all checks written for the month of August 2018.
|

9.D. Consider Approval of Board Policy AF(LOCAL), DBA(LOCAL), DC(LOCAL), DK(LOCAL), EB(LOCAL): Presented for Board approval are AF(LOCAL, DBA(LOCAL), DC(LOCAL), DK(LOCAL) and EB(LOCAL) board policies which are based upon our District of Innovation plan.

9.E. Consider Board Approval of Professional Employee Shortage Areas: Approved state-level shortage areas for the 2018-2019 school year are presented for Board approval.

10.A.1. Consider Approval of Calendar Waiver: Waivers are scheduled for renewal for the 2018-2019 school year.
|
|
10.B. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Auxiliary Services, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
|
|
10.B.1. Consider Approval of Purchasing Conducted Electrical Weapon (Taser) for the Castleberry Independent School District Police Department. The proposal is to outline the policies and procedures associated with the addition of Conducted Electrical Weapons (Tasers). The monies would be allocated from the 2018-19 safety budget.

|
11.A. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
|
|
11.A.1. Federal Program SAS Summary: The report gives a summary of federal grants for the 2018-2019 school year.
|
|
11.A.2. Preliminary School FIRST Rating: Castleberry ISD has received the highest rating of “Superior” from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas. The rating is based on an analysis of the district’s financial data for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The Official Rating will be released in October 2018.
|
|
11.A.3. Financial Services received gift card/coupon and merchandise donations from nineteen local businesses or individuals for the District Secretary Beginning of Year Professional Development Workshop. Appreciation letters were mailed to the various businesses and individuals expressing the department’s appreciation. A list of donations is attached for your information.
|
|
11.A.4. The CISD Athletic Department received two corporate sponsorships for 2018. WRA Architects donated $1,000 and BTC Corporation donated $1,000 for a combined total of $2,000.00.
|
|
11.A.5. The CISD Special Education Department received gift card/coupon and merchandise donations from twenty local businesses or individuals for various Special Education Trainings for the beginning of the year. Appreciation letters were mailed to the various businesses and individuals expressing the department’s appreciation. A list of donations is attached for your information.
|

11.A.6. Castleberry ISD received a $5,000.00 check donation from WRA Architects. The money was donated for the “Back to School Drive” to be used toward the purchase of backpacks and supplies for CISD students.
|
|
11.A.7. The TLI Department received gift card/coupons and merchandise donations from local businesses for the 2018 ALT Retreat. Tarrant County College also donated the facilities for the ALT retreat this year. A list of donations is attached for your information.
|
|
11.B. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Auxiliary Services, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

11.B.1. Capital Improvements Projects Update (2018-19): The report includes information on the Capital Improvement Projects which includes updates on programming, renovations, and construction projects through the 2018-19 school year.

11.C.1. Superintendent Approved New Professional Hires: There is one superintendent approved new hire for this meeting as of September 3, 2018.

11.C.3. On-Campus PRS (Pregnancy Related Services) Waiver: The On-Campus PRS Waiver is scheduled for approval in the 2019-2020 school year.

11.C.4. Human Resources Report: Includes the Job Fair Analysis, Exit Interview Summary, Public Information Request Summary, and Staff Retention Rate.

11.C.4.a. Job Fair Analysis: Includes information on professional staff hired from each university during the 2017 – 2018 job fair.
