1. CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH A QUORUM
"I call this meeting of the Castleberry Independent School District to order. Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting has been duly called, and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551."

4.A. Consider All Matters related to Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

4.A.1. 2017 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR): On November 16, 2017, the Texas Education Agency released Castleberry ISD's final academic ratings for 2017. Final academic ratings are based on the results of students who were enrolled in the district on or before the October snap-shot date for the 2016-2017 school year. The TAPR compiles a wide range of information on the performance of the district and campuses each school year.

4.B. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals. 

4.B.1. 2016-2017 School FIRST Rating and Management Report: Castleberry Independent School District has received the School FIRST (Financial Accountability Rating System) rating of "Superior". This rating applies only to the financial accountability rating for rating year 2016-2017 based on fiscal year 2016 financial data.  Castleberry received the highest score of 100.  This score demonstrates the quality of Castleberry ISD's financial management. The FIRST rating shows that our district is making the most of our taxpayers' dollars. In addition, it shows that not only is the District accountable for student learning, but also for achieving these results cost-effectively and efficiently.
