3.A.1. A draft of the newly formatted core content in the Academic Planning Guide for the 2018-2019 academic year will be reviewed. The course descriptions have been updated, revised, reformatted, and reorganized for ease of understanding and use by both parents and students.

3.A.2. A presentation on the new A-F Accountability System will be presented by Renee Smith-Faulkner on Monday evening.

3.A.3. A presentation on the progress of the District Improvement Plan will be presented by Renee Smith-Faulkner on Monday evening.

3.A.4. Public Education Grant (PEG): On November 16, 2017, the Texas Education Agency released the final PEG list for the 2018-2019 school year based on final accountability ratings which were also released on November 16, 2017. An informational presentation regarding the Public Education Grant will be presented to the Board of Education on Monday evening.

3.A.5. A presentation on the policies, procedures, and education on bullying prevention will be presented by Renee Smith-Faulkner on Monday evening.

8.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from November 6, 2017, for a Regular Board Meeting.

8.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of November 2017: This report lists all checks written for the month of November 2017.
|

8.C. Consider Approval of the Excessive Funds Spending Plan for Child Nutrition. As required by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Fund 240 (Food Services) is allowed to carry no more than a balance of three months of expenses. This leaves an excessive fund amount of $623,000 in Fund 240. Attached for your review is a plan to be considered for the management and use of the funds to be reinvested in the Child Nutrition Program.

9.A.1. Consider Approval of New Hire Contract Recommendation: There is one contract recommendation for this meeting as of December 4, 2017.

9.B.1. Consider Approval of a Budget Amendment: This report displays any necessary budget amendments that should be made due to spending patterns. By law, the District may not exceed the budget amount within Function Code without the prior approval of the Board of Education. The proposed budget amendment is to fund expenses for the Child Nutrition Excess Fund Balance Plan required by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). This amendment would increase fund 240 function 35 (Child Nutrition) by $623,000 and decrease fund balance by $623,000.

9.C.1. Consider Approval of Sale (Online Auction) of District Furniture: Lone Star Auctioneers is a certified small business headquartered in the Metroplex. Lone Star's Online Auction is a full-service firm providing a full range of auction services to all levels of government: city, county, state and federal. For city and county governments and school districts, Lone Star sells office equipment, furniture, and surplus vehicles.

9.D. Consider Approval of Tarrant Appraisal District Election of members to the Board of Directors: Castleberry ISD is entitled to cast 10 votes collectively or separately for the following nominees for the Board of Tarrant Appraisal District.
