4.A.1. Swearing in CISD Police Officer Joe Jones: Officer Joe Jones reported to duty at on October 24, 2017 and began working with Chief Provencio.

4.B.1. 2016-2017 Fiscal Year End Financial Audit and Management Letter: Snow, Garrett & Company has given the District an unmodified opinion. This is the highest level given for financial reporting. Bound copies of the audit will be presented at the Board Meeting.

4.B.2. Authorizing the issuance and sale of Castleberry Independent School District Unlimited Tax Refunding of Existing Bonds, Series 2018, appointing a pricing officer and delegating to the pricing officer the authority to approve on behalf of the District the selection of bonds to be refunded, the sale of the bonds, the terms of the bonds and the offering documents for the bonds; establishing certain parameters for the approval of such matters by the pricing officer; providing for the approval by the pricing officer of the form of a paying agent/registrar agreement; levying a tax and providing for the security and payment of the bonds; providing for the approval by the pricing officer of the official statement; and enacting other provisions relating thereto.

Recognition of Guests: David Vasquez, Interim Principal at Castleberry High School, is recognizing Viviana P., 12th Grade Student, Mario V., 9th Grade Student, Hannah O., 12th Grade Student, and staff members: Ashley Weisner, English Teacher, and Jessica Woodward, AP Secretary. Mr. Vasquez will also recognize campus volunteer, Zeidy Fuentes.

9.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from October 9, 2017, for a Special Board Meeting and October 16, 2017, for a Regular Meeting.

9.B. Consider Approval of Expenditure Report for the month of October 2017: Lists all checks written for the month of October 2017.

9.C. Consider Approval of Resolution 18-005 to sell the Property at 5806 Buchanan Street for $12,000.00: The property was stuck off to the City of Sansom Park in March 2016. The current TAD appraisal is $15,000.00. The tax amount apportioned to Castleberry ISD with the sale will be $6,984.66. The bidder agrees to pay the post-judgment taxes and the apportioned of the taxes to CISD is $341.14. Tax extinguished by the CISD is $2,148.17. A Financial Impact of Bid Acceptance Document will be included for review.

11.A.1.a. Financial Services Evaluation: The report includes Financial Services performance highlights, improvements and program solutions. Information includes the District’s School FIRST Rating, an increase in fund balance and the central supply inventory warehouse.

11.A.1.b. Child Nutrition Evaluation: The report includes highlight information on the CHS Coffee Shop Café Connect, the Summer Food Service Program, the hiring of Chef Sara Bintrim, catering events throughout the District and Performance Improvements and Solutions.
