Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting has been duly called, and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.”

5.A.1. Consideration of proposed termination of Shelby Sullivan’s contract.

5.B. Consider All Matters related to Instruction, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

5.B.1. Consider Approval of Amendment to the Grading Guidelines: Minor revisions were made to six weeks grade calculations in order to align with Skyward. Changes were noted in red.

6.A.1. Swearing in CISD Chief of Police Officer Tony Provencio: Officer Tony Provencio reported to duty on August 18, 2017. Officer Provencio has served with the CISD police force since March 17, 2015 and was previously assigned to Castleberry Elementary, Joy James Elementary, and the Alternative Learning Center.

7.A.1. English Language Learners Internal Audit: Renee Smith-Faulkner, Associate Superintendent has provided a brief overview of the findings from the ELL Internal Audit that was conducted by Dr. Ruth Martin along with the completed and pending corrective actions.

7.A.2. English Language Learners Processes and Procedures Handbook 2017-2018: Renee Smith-Faulkner, Associate Superintendent, has provided a draft of a new ELL compliance handbook outlining district procedures for the Castleberry ISD English Language Learners (ELL) Program.
