1. CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH A QUORUM
“I call this meeting of the Castleberry Board of Education to order. Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting has been duly called, and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.”

3. ACTION ITEMS

3.A. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

3.A.1. Consider Adoption of the 2017-2018 Fiscal Year Budget. The development, review, and consideration of the 2017-2018 Governmental Fund Budgets (the General Fund, the Child Nutrition, the Debt Service Fund), were completed with a detailed review of  revenue and expenditure items within the context of the District’s Mission Statement, Strategic Goals, Operational Goals, Performance Objectives, and Board Policy. 

3.A.2. Consider Approval of Resolution #16-009 for Fund Balances. Fund balance categories will be established in accordance with GASB 54.  

3.A.3. Consider Approval of TASB Risk Management Fund as the 2017-2018 District’s Property and Casualty Insurance Carrier for a Total Premium of $134,961.00.

3.B. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Auxiliary Services, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.

3.B.1. Consider Approval of CISD Replacement Plan (2017-18)

3.C. Consider All Matters Incident and/or related to Public Officers and Employees, including but not limited to, Contract Resignations, Hiring, Assignments, Allocations, and Salaries.

3.C.1. Consider Approval of an Irma Marsh Middle School  Principal Contract Recommendation: The Superintendent of Schools will present recommendation to the Board of Education for approval of Kalyn Perkins as Irma Marsh Middle School Principal.

3.C.2. Consider Approval of a Castleberry Elementary School Principal Contract Recommendation: The Superintendent of Schools will present recommendation to the Board of Education for approval of Michelle Stapp as Castleberry Elementary School Principal.

3.C.3. Consider Approval of the Student Handbook and Code of Conduct:  The 2017-2018 Student Handbook and Code of Conduct is presented for Board approval.
