4.B. DISCUSSION ITEM
2014 School FIRST Rating and Management Report: Castleberry Independent School District has received the School FIRST (Financial Accountability Rating System) rating of “Superior Achievement”. This rating is the state’s highest rating, demonstrating the quality of Castleberry ISD’s financial management. The FIRST rating shows that our district is making the most of our taxpayers’ dollars. In addition it shows that not only is the District accountable for student learning, but also for achieving these results cost-effectively and efficiently. Additionally, please note that a district’s final School FIRST rating may impact its special education determination status as issued by the TEA Division of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Coordination under the requirements of 34 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) §300.608(a). |
