6.A. Consider All Matters Incident and/or related to Public Officers and Employees/Auxiliary Service, including, but not limited to, Contracts Resignations, Hiring, Assignments, Allocations, and Salaries.

6.B. ACTION ITEM
Consider Approval of a Castleberry High School Principal Contract Recommendation: The selection process for the new CHS principal consisted of: 1.) Initial screening of over 160 applications. 2.) Review of 9 “first cut” applications. 3.) Committee interview of 3 applicants. 4.) Telephone follow-up with finalist. 5.) Campus visit of finalist. 6.) Second interview of one finalist. 7.) Recommendation. Dr. Julie Davis has been a high school assistant principal in Irving ISD for 4 years. Her previous 15 years of education work included time as a special education diagnostician, test coordinator, Education Service Center trainer, and classroom teacher. In May of 2011, Texas Woman’s University awarded her the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Special Education with a minor in Administration. |

6.C. ACTION ITEM
Consider Approval of an Irma Marsh Middle School Principal Contract Recommendation: The selection process for the new IMMS principal consisted of: 1.) Initial screening of over 250 applications. 2.) Review of 47 “first cut” applications. 3.) Committee interview of 5 applicants. 4.) Telephone follow-up with 2 finalists. 5.) Campus visit of 2 finalists. 6.) Second interview of one finalist. 7.) Recommendation. Hope Deley has been a middle school assistant principal for 5 years. Prior to her administrative experience, she taught at both the elementary level and at middle school. She holds Texas certifications in Elementary Self-Contained, Math Grades 1-6, Science Grades 1-8, Principal and Superintendent. She has completed the coursework for her Ph. D. |

Board of Trustees Continuing Education Reports: Board members will be given an opportunity to discuss items of interest from the NSBA Convention. Each Board Member is allocated 10 minutes to speak about two topics at this meeting, additional time will be allocated for May 14th. |
