5.A. Policy Update CFB (LOCAL) - First Reading
Presenter:
Larry Guerra
Description:
An update to policy CFB(LOCAL) - Accounting Inventories is recommended to reflect changes to the Federal Accountability System Resource Guide (FASRG). Effective July 1, 2025, TEA increased the capitalization threshold to $10,000 to align with changes to the federal definition of equipment. The FASRG is in the process of being updated to reflect this change to Rule 1.2.4.3, Capitalization of Assets. Current policy indicates sets the district’s capitalization threshold in CFB(LOCAL) at $5,000 which is less than allowable threshold.
