I. CALL TO ORDER

II. CLOSED SESSION
The Board may declare itself in a closed meeting as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Sections 551.001 - 551.146.  In the event a closed meeting is to be convened, the presiding officer shall publicly identify the section or sections authorizing the closed meeting.  Those section may include without limitation the following sections under SUBCHAPTER D AND E, which authorize a closed meeting to discuss the following topics:

II.A. Section 551.071, Texas Government Code:  For the purpose of private consultation with the Board's attorney on any and all subjects or matters authorized by law.

1. Consultation with the District's legal counsel concerning legal and procedural issues regarding terminations of continuing contract employees as part of a reduction in personnel based on a financial exigency and proposed nonrenewal of a term contract employee.
2. Consultation with the District's legal counsel concerning legal and procedural issues regarding recommendation of termination of a probationary contract at the end of the contract period.

II.B. Section 551.074, Texas Government Code:  For the purpose of deliberating the appointment, employment, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee, unless the officer or employee who is the subject of the deliberation or hearing requests an open hearing.

II.B.1. Deliberations regarding recommendations concerning employee contract renewals.

II.B.2. Deliberations regarding recommendation to terminate continuing contract employees as part of a reduction in personnel based on a financial exigency.

II.B.3. Deliberations regarding recommendation to propose nonrenewal of a term contract employee.

II.B.4. Deliberations regarding recommendation to terminate a probationary contract at the end of the current contract period.
