III.A. Student Achievement

III.A.i. All departments and schools will create a continuous improvement plan to address student achievement and equity goals. Department plans will be shared October 24 and school improvement plans will be shared in November and December.

III.A.i.a. Teaching and Learning

III.A.i.a.I. By the end of third grade, the percentage of students reading at grade level will increase by 5% as measured by STAR.

III.A.i.a.II. By the end of fifth grade, the percentage of students with 90% attendance will increase by 5%.

III.A.i.a.III. By the end of eighth grade, the percentage of students ready for Integrated I mathematics as freshman will increase by 5%.

III.A.i.a.IV. By the end of eighth grade, the percentage of students who will exit from ELD programs will increase by 5%.

III.A.i.a.V. By the end of ninth grade, the percentage of students who've earned 6 or more credits will increase by 5%.

III.A.i.a.VI. By the end of twelfth grade, the percentage of students who graduate on time and with a plan for college or career will increase by 5%.

III.A.i.b. Academic Growth Goals

III.A.i.b.I. The number of students in all grades, who begin the school year at or above the Student Growth Percentile (SGP) benchmark target currently defaulted at 40%, will increase by 5% within the benchmark category as measured by the STAR assessments.

III.A.i.b.II. The number of students in all grades, who begin the school year at the lowest quartile of the Student Growth Percentile (SGP) benchmark target currently defaulted at 40%, will decrease by 5% within the benchmark category as measured by the STAR assessments.

III.A.ii. Chronic Absenteeism

III.A.ii.a. Establish a chronic absenteeism committee to determine root cause by end of 2018-19 school year.

III.A.iii. System Improvement

III.A.iii.a. Ensure system wide processes are improved during the 2018-2019 school year by determining either quality management or project management tools.

III.A.iii.b. Increase district wide communication process.
1. Meting with cabinet to establish communication flowchart/feedback loop

III.B. Equity

III.B.i. Implement equity plans at each school and department to deepen culturally responsiveness and equitable practices with the goal of reducing disproportionalities by 10% in student achievement, attendance, student discipline.

III.B.ii. Establish a mentoring program for administrators of color by the end of of 2018-2019.

III.B.iii. Increase opportunities of excellence system wide.
