She has done a tremendous job leading our teachers and students through this process! Ms. Kuene's peers had some wonderful things to say about her! "Ms. Kuehne did an excellent job coordinating our campus UIL teams this year! This was a role that required many hours of hard work and organization. Ms. Kuehne truly cares about each of her students, her fellow teachers and the success of our campus." "Mrs. Kuehne brings a solid foundation to Florence ISD. While I have not seen her teach directly, her approach to students is admirable. I only wish to grow up in my teaching skills and become like her: approachable, unflappable, direct and firm with kindness. And that is not all. She rocks by going to the above and beyond for our students. She organized UIL with the utmost detail in the middle of a storm. Mrs. Kuehne is a Buffalo who lives by #BuffsBeTheBestTheyCanBe!" |

IX.G. Consideration and Possible Action to Approve a New Teaching Position at Florence High School for the 2024-2025 School Year
Presenter:
Rick Kirkpatrick
Description:
Currently, our agriculture classes at Florence High School exceed capacity in most class periods. In order to alleviate the overcrowding and allow for additional course offerings in this program of study, the district is requesting to add one FTE as an additional Agriculture Science position. Before the position is filled, the district will ensure that sufficient funds are available and/or generated to cover the cost of this position in next year's budget. Our early projections show that we will have to spend an additional $62,663.00 on CTE compared to the current year.
