3. Acceptance of Consent Agenda
Description:
BACKGROUND: As a good practice, the board should accept the consent agenda for the evening's meeting which includes minutes of the February 25, 2019 regular meeting (open and closed sessions) and emailed correspondence on behalf of the BOE. RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent that the consent agenda be reviewed and accepted. 4. NEOLA 33.1 - Second Reading
Description:
BACKGROUND: At the February 25th meeting, the board approved NEOLA 33.1 with the exception of po122 for a second reading. po122 has been revised and is presented for a second reading and adoption. It is attached. RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent and the policy committee to approve po122 for a second reading and adoption. 5. SJC ISD CTE Enhancement Millage
Description:
BACKGROUND: In January, Teresa Belote, SJC ISD Superintendent, spoke to the BOE regarding a possible county-wide special enhancement millage to support the CTE program. The ISD Board is voting this month on whether or not to move forward with the millage request, and has asked the county Boards of Education to show their support through a resolution. Attached is the information presented in January. RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent that the BOE support the SJC ISD in putting forth a 1.0 CTE enhancement millage request on the November ballot. MOTION BY ___________________________; SECONDED BY_________________________ BE IT RESOLVED that the Centreville Board of Education support / not support the SJC ISD in putting forth a 1.0 CTE enhancement millage request on the November ballot.
