February 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM - Regular Meeting
The February 22, 2021 Effingham Unit #40 Board of Education meeting will be altered in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders. Steps taken include:
- Board members may attend the meeting either in person or by electronic/phone communication (per Executive Order 2020-07).
- A limited number of the general public will be permitted to attend the Unit #40 Board of Education meeting. Instead, the Unit #40 board meeting will be streamed live on Youtube. Please use the following links to access the meeting:

(In order to comply with social distancing protocol, the Board of Education will stay in the meeting room to conduct the closed session meeting. The live stream will resume via this link once open session begins. Please click this link when the 1st open session ends. The video will automatically start playing when open session reconvenes. - The District understands the hesitancy of many to attend a public meeting in the present environment. Individuals who do not wish to attend the meeting due to COVID-19 concerns will still have the ability to participate during the Public Comment portion of the meeting by emailing your public comments to doanm@unit40.org by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021. A District administrator in attendance at the meeting will read your comments to the board members attending in person or electronically.
- However, if you choose to physically attend the meeting, the District asks that you inform the Unit office of your attendance by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 by calling the following telephone number (217) 540-1502 and leaving a message or email doanm@unit40.org . Please be mindful that individuals will need to wait outside the building or in their vehicles until the public comment portion of the meeting (immediately following the acknowledgement section of the meeting). Individuals wishing to address the Board in person will be allowed into the board meeting one at a time. Individuals waiting outside the building or in their vehicles to address the School Board may view the meeting by accessing the link listed above
