Description:
Mike Edgin, our District Auditor, will present for your review the 2022-23 District Annual Financial Report Audit. We have improved our audit but there is still work to be done. The financial position of the district is strong with an additional increase to our Fund Balance. This is good news, but I caution us that our payroll is much higher than last year and we have exhausted most of our ESSER funds. There was enough for COVID stipends and there will be less than $250,000 for the remainder of the year. Also the state has disappointed and failed us on school finance legislation as there is still well over $13 billion dollars not appropriated due to the school voucher stalemate. |
