Description:
Most importantly we are thankful to the support and resources our administrators have and continue to provide.
Welcome to our new staff Tawnya and Peat.
1st day:
classrooms outside!
Lunch on our place based playground boat - thank you to new cook Peat!
Presenting our locker name cards - and practicing "what's expected" as a presenter, as an audience, how to give respectful, specific, and kind feedback and how to use metacognition, reflection, and revision to deepen learning and increase comprehension.
Working together to follow assignment expectations, produce a quality product in a set about of time that uses imagery to tell others a bit about ourselves while ensuring a balanced boat for a richer learning environment
1st day traditions to include
1. raising the colors and singing the Star Spangled Banner -
visiting flag, pledge, national anthem protocols and expectations as well as the value of song to tell a story.
2. our first Morning Community of the year, the Joy Song on our school drum and it story affirming the importance of student voice,
With clipboards in hand we toured the new building and identified questions and suggestions to ensure all voices as heard so we do not overlook important details as we organize our move and set up our building.
We are focusing on and organize process and our culture so we will have a new school ready to successfully support our students' learning, connection and healthy life for many years to come.
And now we are culling, purging, and packing.
On Tuesday September 5, 2023 we will hit the road with the support of our colleagues and other students and begin our adventure in our new building.
We thank all for the amazing support to make all of this happen.
